Essential Theatre was founded in 1997 and strives to produce theatre that will entertain, inspire and provoke audiences to think in a fresh way about their own lives.
Throughout the years we have been lucky enough to perform new Australian works from playwrights such as Chris Dickins, Abe Pogos and Linda Jaivin.
Over the past six years we have been recognised as a leading national theatre company known for its professional and creative presentation of Shakespeare in the Vines.
Shakespeare in the Vines is a unique tour of Shakespeare’s much loved works to some of Australia’s most spectacular wineries and gardens. This tour continues to grow and we are thrilled to be reaching new regions in each state year by year.
We have been awarded and recognised as a prominent Australian theatre company and are excited about what the future holds for us.
