One woman changed the future of medicine in Australia, her name was Doctor Constance Stone. 

This bold new theatrical work celebrates Dr Constance Stone, Australia’s first female doctor – a trailblazer who defied institutional barriers and paved the way for generations of women. 

In the 1880’s she defied barriers, became Australia’s first female doctor and reshaped women’s healthcare – yet history forgot her.

We’re changing that by creating a new Australian work that shines a light on this remarkable woman.

In 1887, she rallied women across Victoria. She asked for one shilling. These women built a hospital.

In 2026, join us in putting her name back where it belongs. We ask for $2. Because this is bigger than a play. It’s about restoring a legacy.
